Memorial service celebrating the life of Carlton Myers of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 24, 2026, at The Assembly West Monroe, Rev. Otis Moore officiating.

The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.

Carlton Lee Myers, 63, of West Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026. He was born on November 26, 1962, in West Monroe, Louisiana, weighing barely three pounds.

He came home in a shoebox, and for months his parents were told each day that he would not survive. But Carlton and God had other plans. He was a fighter, determined never to give up on life, and that would not be the last time the odds were stacked against him. Time and again throughout his life, the world said he shouldn't make it, and time and again, Carlton and God had other plans. That same quiet determination carried him through 63 years of a life well lived.

Carlton gave 34 dedicated years to Graphic Packaging. He was a man who would help anyone who needed it, without hesitation and without conditions. He loved the outdoors - hunting, fishing, and the quiet of his back porch. His faithful companion Chloe was rarely far from his side, whether she was curled up next to him on the couch or keeping him company outside. Their bond was one of the constants of his life.

Carlton is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy June Myers.

He is survived by his wife, Christie Myers; his father, Bristol Lee Myers (and his wife, Anita Myers); his children, Sarah Myers (and fiancé Carl Morse), Crystal Day, Kaley Jordan, and Christopher Jordan (and his wife, Brittany Jordan); and his grandchildren, Kayson Jordan, Bryson Jordan, Zayden Jordan, and Zoey Madison; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
