Funeral service celebrating the life of Donnie Hicks Mims of Calhoun, LA. will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Harvest Assembly, West Monroe with Rev. Terry Mims officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, under the direction of Heaven Bound Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends for visitation 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Heaven Bound Funeral Home, 703 North 4th. St. West Monroe, LA.

Donnie was born July 31, 1956, in McCrory, AR. and passed from this life June 6, 2026, at Our Lady of the Lakes in Baton Rouge, at the age of 69.

She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Hicks; mother, Aline Remore; grandson Ryan Mims; brother, Leslie Remore; mother-in-law, Connie Mims.

Those left to cherish her memory includes her husband of 52 years, Billy “Bilbo” Mims, Jr.; son, Billy “Bo” Mims, III of Calhoun; daughter, Kristy & Josh Buffington of Calhoun; grandchildren, Emma Mims & Jesse Moore of Calhoun, Vada Bullock & Carter Bullock of Calhoun, Jaylenn & Samuel Holtzclaw of West Monroe, Harley Buffington & Zack Gooden of West Monroe, Kaylee Buffington, Chet Fuselier, and Annabelle Buffington; in-laws, Billy Mims, Sr. and Evelyn Snow; Siblings, Danny & Kathey Hicks of West Monroe, Charlene & George Brown of Downsville, Virginia Platt, Shirley Brandao of West Monroe, Lori Remore of Downsville, Brother and sister in laws Jerry Mims of Columbia, Terisa & Bob Dallimore of Mandeville, James & Maria Mims of Calhoun, Terry & Renee Mims of West Monroe, Travis & Jennifer Mims of Monroe, Robia Williams of Marion, William Norwood, Renee & Jack Branch, Laura & James Graves, Timmy Snow, and Jimmy & Shelia Snow; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

Pallbearers serving are, Jesse Moore, Tyler Mims, Jeff Mims, Jerry “Bubba” Mims, Dakota Green and Hunter Millwood.
