Gerald Wayne Lowery

Memorial service celebrating the life of Gerald Wayne Lowery of West Monroe, LA. will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2026, in the chapel of Heaven Bound Funeral Home, 703 North 4th St. West Monroe, LA.

Family will receive friends for visitation 12:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Heaven Bound Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Gerald was born in Monroe, LA June 4th, 1942, by William and Evelyn Lowery,  and passed peacefully at home March 4th, 2026, at the age of 83.

He worked at the Paper Mill for 40+ years as a millwright. He loved spending time with his family and friends. If he wasn't spending time with the people he loved or working on his latest project around the house you could find him on the lake or at the camp. He was an avid outdoorsman and passed on his love for fishing and hunting to many of his kids and grandkids. Gerald was also a big animal lover. He had many pets throughout his life that he spoiled.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents; William and Evelyn Lowery, two sons; Ricky Lowery, Lamar Lowery and granddaughter Angel Lowery. 

He is survived by his wife; Renee Lowery, sons; Heath Lowery and wife Lakin, Jerry (Chuck) Sturdivant and wife Danielle, daughter; Misty Sturdivant, grandkids; Connor Sturdivant, Carrson Sturdivant, Carley Adkins, Cash Strickland, Hunter Lowery, Rj Lowery, four great grandkids, sister; Joy Holmes and husband Kevin, brother; Gary Lowery.

Gerald was loved by many and will be missed greatly. 

The family wishes to express our sincere thanks for the many, many acts of kindness shown during this period of grief. The thoughtfulness and concern expressed will always be remembered.
