Memorial service celebrating the life of Helen Carrie Brown of Downsville, LA. will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 19, 2026 in the chapel of Heaven Bound Funeral Home, 703 North 4th St. West Monroe, LA.

Family will receive friends for visitation 1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.

Helen Tedeton Brown was born at EA Conway in Monroe, LA, on July 14, 1960. She passed away surrounded by the ones she loved most in her home in Downsville, LA, on April 9, 2026, after a lengthy battle with lung disease, which led to acute kidney failure.

She  is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Brown; parents, Prentice and Bonnie Tedeton; oldest daughter, Carrie Devanna Brown; and her two brothers, Prentice Jr. and Walter Tedeton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Devanna and Cassie Brown, sister, Cathy Craighead (Ray); brother, Keith Tedeton, and four grandchildren: Gavin Phillip, Abigail Hope Ticheli, John Michael Hubbard, and Savannah Grace Hubbard; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

The family wants to thank each of the ones who prayed, especially during the last week of her life. All are very appreciated! Helen was able to be home for Easter, her favorite holiday, and was so grateful she was home. Her family also gives a special thanks to the healthcare teams of doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, dialysis staff, EMTs, and the fire department, each of whom aided Helen throughout her battle.

Although she will be missed dearly, she is now healthy, walking with Jesus and all the ones she missed. She is now watching over her loved ones.
