Memorial service celebrating the life of Joseph Szarwinski of Calhoun, LA. will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 18, 2026 in the chapel of Heaven Bound Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. with Pastor, Keith Roberts officiating.

Family will receive friends for visitation 1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.

Joseph Dennis Szarwinski, 70, passed away on March 18, 2026. Born on December 17, 1955, in Columbia, South Carolina, Joseph lived a life defined by dedication, kindness, and quiet strength.

He was the beloved son of Matthew Richard Szarwinski and Francis Ann St. Denis.

Joseph was a devoted husband to his wife, Nancy Szarwinski, with whom he shared nearly 19 years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and unwavering support.

He was a proud and loving father to Nicolas Thomas Reno and Nathan Lee Reno, who were a constant source of pride and joy in his life.

Joseph honorably served his country in the United States Navy for 14 years, demonstrating commitment and discipline that carried through every aspect of his life. After his service, he became known for his skilled hands and generous spirit. He had a deep love for woodworking and arts and crafts, often creating and fixing things not for himself, but for others.

If something needed to be repaired, Joseph was the person you could always count on.

He will be remembered for his friendly nature, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and the steady presence he brought to those around him. His kindness and reliability left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
