Funeral service celebrating the life of Kenneth Garner of West Monroe, LA. will be held 6:00 PM, Friday, June 19, 2026 at Heaven Bound Funeral Home, 703 North 4th St. WEST Monroe, LA. (beside the First West Thrift Store)

Family will receive friends for visitation 4:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.

Kenneth was born April 12, 1958, and passed from this life June 16, 2026, at the age of 68.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and the simple pleasures of country life. He especially loved catfishing, and some of his fondest memories were made on Mississippi River trips, which were his all-time favorite adventures. He enjoyed frog hunting, running trotlines, and trapping coons, often selling the hides. Many evenings were spent riding the back roads, keeping an eye out for deer and appreciating the quiet beauty of the night. These traditions and passions brought him great joy and created memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Morris B. Garner; mother, Betty Joiner; cousin like a brother, Christopher Todd Brister; Aunt and even second mother, Rosie Fay Joiner, uncle, Joseph Nicholas Sutton, and his last true-love, Mrs. Judy Thompson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Caleb Garner; daughter, Cattie A. Bonvillian; uncle, Carol Joiner; grandchildren, Elijah Bonvillian, Isaiah Bonvillian, Isaac Bonvillian, Emma Garner, and CJ Garner; great-grandbaby, Magnolia Bonvillian; also survived by his best friend (dog) Scuttle Butttt and a host of extended family and friends.
