Larry Dean Baxter

Funeral services celebrating the life of Larry Dean Baxter of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 25, 2026, in the chapel of Heaven Bound Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at New Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Heaven Bound Funeral Home.

Larry was born on November 9, 1962, and passed from this life on September 18, 2026, at the age of 63.

Larry was a hardworking man who spent many years as a professional painter. Outside of work, he knew how to enjoy the simple things in life. He loved a good game of bowling or billiards, enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycle, and found great joy in cooking and fishing. Whether he was preparing a meal, spending time by the water, or simply enjoying the company of those around him, Larry treasured the moments that brought family and friends together.

He will be remembered for the life he lived, the memories he made, and the special place he held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Though his presence will be deeply missed, the memories shared with Larry will continue to bring comfort, laughter, and love in the days ahead.

Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis D. Baxter and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Roberts; his mother, Vivian C. Roberts Baxter; his brother, James Ellis Baxter; and his twin sister, Lori Jean Baxter Douglas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Douglas, Vince Guess, Jeff Frisby, James Graves, Charles “Ziggy” McLendon, and James “Koli” Porter.
