Mary Jane Troutt

Mary Jane Troutt, 79, of West Monroe, Louisiana, was born September 24, 1946 and  passed from this life June 7, 2026.

Mary spent most of her working years as a cook aboard tugboats on the Mississippi River. She worked hard throughout her life and was known for her love of cooking. One of the greatest joys she shared with others was her homemade banana bread, which many considered the best around.

Life brought Mary many challenges, but she continued to move forward in her own way. She will be remembered for her strength, her years of dedicated work, and the comfort she brought to others through a home-cooked meal.

She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
