Ronnie "Pawpaw/Poppy" Jones

The family will host a celebration of life for Ronnie Jones on Saturday, April 11 at 2:00 PM at his favorite back porch, located at 819 Concord Road, Marion, LA 71260.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronnie “Pawpaw/Poppy" Jones, who left us on April 3, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on November 3, 1954, Ronnie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who brought joy to everyone around him.

Ronnie and his wife, Penny Jones, were high school sweethearts and shared 53 wonderful years of marriage together.

Ronnie dedicated many years of his life to working in the oil and pipeline industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and his commitment to providing for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sonny and Clotile Jones, and his mother-in-law, Nell Hughes.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Penny Jones; his daughters, Mandy Favors (John), Jenny Towns, Liz Matte (BJ), and Kim Mahl (Brian); his grandchildren, Brock Towns, Samantha Favors, Grant Towns, Blaire Stroud (Tucker), Rigan Jones, Brett Towns, Reese Favors, Josh Warren, Briana Tabor (Alex), Blaze Matte, Brinlie Matte, and Gracie Matte; his great-grandchildren, Ellen Taber, Brixton Matte, and Matayo Matte; his brothers, Ricky Jones (Lorraine) and Kenneth Jones (Edith); his beloved dogs; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his wonderful caregivers at Elara Caring.
