Memorial service celebrating the life of Susan Holloway McKee of Ruston, LA will be held at LifeChurch.LA, 3000 South Vienna St. Ruston, LA with Pastor Dallas and Paige Witt officiating the service on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM and service will be held from 11:00 AM to 12 PM at the church.

Susan, a beloved mother, MiMi, sister, and friend, passed peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. Born on January 8, 1962, in Ruston, Louisiana, to Clifton and Mary Holloway, Susan’s life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, her cherished daughter, Megan, and her brother, Ronnie.

She graduated from Ruston High School in 1980 and dedicated 30 years of service at Lincoln General Hospital.

A lifelong passionate fan of the New Orleans Saints, Susan’s enthusiasm for her team was matched only by her love for black bears—both real and collectible. Purple was her favorite color, and her faith was central to her life, with Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” as her guiding verse.

Susan’s happiest moments were spent surrounded by family and friends, fishing, and being on the water, her “happy place.” She fiercely loved her family and found joy in every gathering. Susan loved the pastors and many friends at LifeChurch.LA, where she served faithfully at the Information Center.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Stephanie McKee; granddaughter, Kearstie White; her brother, Keith Holloway (Peggy); sister-in-law, Debbie Holloway, numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends who cherished her. Always kind and generous, a hard worker, and an all-around fun person who will be missed by everyone fortunate enough to have loved her.
